New Delhi. Politics has started across the country regarding caste census. After this decision of the central government, there is also a competition to take credit. Congress leader Jairam Ramesh has shared a post on social media. He said that, caste census-The Modi government tried to suppress for years-the leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi, the Congress party and the numerous social workers and organizations bowed to the firm fight. This is an important stage in the fight for social justice. The Modi government, which was also hesitant in its name till yesterday and was leaving no stone unturned in ridicule, shriek, today has agreed to bend before the heavy pressure of the public and the conflict of the opposition.

He further said, in fact this has been the pattern of the BJP government-oppose every good plan or policy, defame it… and when you face pressure and reality of the people, then adopt the same policy. Remember, what the Prime Minister said in Parliament about MNREGA- “Memorial of Failure”! The scheme which the world called a model of rural employment and poverty alleviation was made fun of the same MNREGA, said that people are digging pits. But when the disaster like Corona came, this MNREGA became the backbone of the poor of the country. What happened then? The government also increased its budget and tried to take credits itself.

The same happened with 'Aadhaar'. When the BJP was in opposition, it used to say that “it is a threat to privacy and is just a political stunt” but made the same base the foundation of the entire welfare system as soon as he came to power. The story of GST is also no different. When the Congress took the initiative to bring GST, the BJP strongly opposed it, saying that it is against the interests of the states. But as soon as he came to power, it was implemented without major changes and then started applauding himself by calling it a “game changer”.

Jairam Ramesh further said, the Congress had created the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) so that the subsidy reached the public's account directly. At that time the BJP denied it, said- “It will not work.” But as soon as he came to power, he implemented this DBT across the country and started beating the drum of “Digital India”. The policy of giving cash assistance to women was started by the Congress. The BJP then said- “This is just politics of announcements.” Today the same government is running separate cash transfer schemes for women.

Talking about the internship/apprenticeship scheme, the Congress promised an apprenticeship scheme under youth justice in its 'justice letter' of 2024, Lok Sabha elections. During the elections, the BJP also taunted him. But later Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced this in the budget. Sadly, till date it too has remained only as a declaration. This list does not end here… Actually these are just some examples. The truth is that this government has neither its vision nor any direction to solve problems. This government is only adept at distracting public attention, running away from real issues and furthering its divisive agenda. Apart from this, they have no policy, nor intentions -politics of lies, propagation and hate.
