SBI's operational profit in FY 2025 crosses Rs 1.10 lakh crore, NII 4.43% increased

State Bank of India (SBI) said on Saturday that the operational profit in the last financial year (FY 2025) has increased by 17.89 percent, which crossed Rs 1.10 lakh crore, while the operational profit in the fourth quarter increased by 8.83 percent (year-on) to Rs 31,286 crore. According to the country's largest bank in assets, the net profit in FY 2025 was Rs 70,901 crore, which shows an increase of 16.08 percent (year-on-year) as per stock exchange filing.

The tax profit (PAT) increased to Rs 20,698 crore in the fourth quarter, which was Rs 16,891 crore in the previous quarter (third quarter). The net interest income (NII) increased by 4.43 percent for FY 2025. For the quarter, net interest income or core income increased by 2.7 percent to Rs 42,775 crore.

SBI Board has declared a dividend of Rs 15.9 per share. According to its filing, the gross NPA ratio at 1.82 percent improved 42 bps, while at 0.47 percent, the net NPA ratio improved 10 BPS (on-age). The bank said, “The entire bank deposit increased by 9.48 percent on an annual basis. CASA deposit increased by 6.34 percent on an annual basis. The CASA ratio is 39.97 percent (till 31 March 2025).”

The SME advance crossed Rs 5 lakh crore, which is an increase of 16.86 percent, followed by an increase of 14.29 percent in agriculture advance and retail individual advance and corporate advances respectively recorded an annual increase of 11.40 percent and 9.00 percent. According to SBI results, the slipage ratio for FY 25 improved 7 basis points and it was 0.55 percent. The slipage ratio for the fourth quarter improved 1 base points on a year-on-year basis and it was 0.42 percent. The bank reported that 64 percent of savings accounts were purchased digitally through Yono, while the share of alternative channels in total transactions increased from 97.8 percent to 98.2 percent in FY25 in FY 24. The bank's ROA and ROE for FY 25 were 1.10 percent and 19.87 percent respectively.
