CM Yogi, Bole-Development Authority should make a lump sum of pending cases of building maps

Lucknow: UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed to review the cases of building maps pending in development authorities. He said that repeated objections in matters to the map are unfair. It should be disposed of at once by giving simple looks. Whatever cases are pending, they should be settled by fixing a time limit. The Chief Minister directed that the cities where the GIS -based master plan has not yet been approved, should be approved before the end of the present month.

The Chief Minister was reviewing the works of the Housing and Urban Planning Department at a high -level meeting convened at his government residence. Assessing the departmental action plan, he said that it is necessary to implement all the components like urban planning, residential security, infrastructure development and digital management from an integrated approach.

The Chief Minister was informed about the progress of metro projects that the construction of 6.7 km long underground section from Motijheel to Kanpur Central Station of Kanpur Metro has been completed. The work of Corridor 1 and 2 will be completed by the end of this year. The first corridor of Agra Metro is also targeted to be completed by December 2025, while the work of the second corridor has been set by the year 2026. In this sequence, the process of Charbagh to Basantkunj (11.165 km) under Lucknow Metro Project is also going on fast. It was also informed that suggestions were invited from the public from 16 to 30 April, 2025 on the format of Building Construction and Development by-2025. This subdivision will be finalized based on the suggestions received.

The Chief Minister expressed the need to expand the boundary of Lucknow Development Authority. Also, instructed to transfer JPNIC to Lucknow Development Authority as soon as possible. While reviewing the International Exhibition-cum-Convention Center project in Lucknow, he directed that this world-class convention center to be developed on 32.50 acres of land at a cost of Rs 900 crore should be completed in a maximum of 02 years. This convention center will be the identity of the new Lucknow.

Discussing the update situation of the Chief Minister UP-SCR, the project incorporated the districts of Lucknow, Hardoi, Sitapur, Unnao, Rae Bareli and Barabanki, whose total area is 27,826 sq km. Its DPR process is no longer delayed.

The upcoming three -month action plan was also discussed in the meeting. This includes the process of implementing important policys like Uttar Pradesh Town and Economic Planning Act-2025, Land Pooling Policy-2025 and Building Construction and Development Substance-2025. A revised guideline will also be released soon for completion of activities under the Integrated Township Policy.

The Chief Minister was informed that the projects approved under the Chief Minister's Urban Extension/New City Promotion Scheme will be launched from June 2025 to December 2025. It includes Jhansi, Bareilly, Aligarh, Saharanpur, Agra (Kakua), Kanpur (New Kanpur City Scheme), Mathura (Transport Nagar), Moradabad (Didausi), Bulandshahr, Ghaziabad, Meerut and Lucknow. The Chief Minister directed to ensure the timeliness and quality of all the projects.

The Chief Minister said that under the GIS -based Mahayas structure, Mahayas plan of 59 cities of the state is being prepared, out of which 42 have been approved. The process of approval of four Mahayas Yagya (Jhansi, Mainpuri, Farrukhabad-Fatehgarh and Bahraich) should be completed in this month.

Need to make UP Housing App and RERA portal more smooth and transparent

To encourage private investment, the Chief Minister instructed to prioritize public private partnership model based projects, to conduct special residential schemes for migrant workers and to implement green bilinding certification, solar rooftop system, rainwater harvesting and waste management as compulsory urban standards. He also stressed the need to make UP housing app and RERA portal more smooth and transparent.
