Ghiya (gourd) raita recipe in hindi
(Ghiya / lauki ka raita recipe in hindi)
Ingredients:

Gourd (Ghiya) – 1 cup (grated)

Curd – 2 cups (cooled and fant)

Green Coriander – 1 tbsp (finely chopped)

Roasted cumin powder – 1/2 teaspoon
-
Black salt – 1/2 teaspoon
-
White salt – as per taste
-
Black pepper powder – 1/4 tsp (optional)
Method of preparation:

Cook the gourd:
Put the grated gourd in a pan and boil it for 4–5 minutes, until it becomes soft.
Then cool it and press the excess water by pressing it by hand. -
Prepare yogurt:
Whisk yogurt well in a vessel. If yogurt is very thick, you can add some water. -
Add spices:
Add roasted cumin powder, black salt, white salt and pepper to the curd. -
Mix gourd:
Now add boiled and squeezed gourd to curd and mix well. -
Garnish:
Add green coriander over above and sprinkle a little roasted cumin again.
Method of serving:
Serve the ghia raita cold. It is very beneficial and helpful in digestion in summer. It can be served with parathas, khichdi, or any main food.
