Many people make faces on hearing the name of Ridge gourd vegetable. Especially children want to stay away from it at any cost. They ask for something else to eat instead. However, today we are going to tell you about a dish of Ridge gourd, for which no one will make any excuse and no one will be able to refuse. We are talking about Ridge gourd pakoras. Whoever eats it once will keep praising it. You will have to make it again soon to make everyone happy. Serve it with tea or you can also make spicy chutney of green coriander and chilli with it.

Ingredients

4 Ridge gourd

1 cup gram flour

Half a cup of rice flour

2 finely chopped green chillies

Half-cup coriander leaves

Half a teaspoon of carom seeds

Half teaspoon red chili powder

Half teaspoon asafoetida

Salt

Method

- Wash the Ridge gourd thoroughly and cut it into round pieces. After this, sprinkle some salt on the pieces and keep it aside.

- Put gram flour and rice flour in a big bowl. Add carom seeds, red chili powder, chaat masala, chopped coriander leaves and finely chopped green chillies and mix well.

- Now add some water to it and prepare the batter for pakodas. Keep in mind that the batter should not be too thin. Now take the Ridge gourd and remove its excess water.

- Now heat oil in a pan. Now take the pieces of Ridge gourd and dip them in the batter. After coating them well, fry them in oil.

- Take out the pakoras on tissue paper so that the paper absorbs the excess oil. After this, serve them with spicy chutney or sauce.

- You can also serve hot tea with it. If you want, you can also sprinkle chaat masala on it.
