Ingredients for making Sambar Rice:

Cooked rice – 1 cup

Arhar dal (tuvar dal) – 1/2 cup

Sambar powder – 1 tablespoon

Tomatoes, onions, vegetables (like carrots, okra)

Tamarind pulp – 1 teaspoon

Salt, turmeric

For tempering: mustard seeds, asafoetida, curry leaves

How to make Sambar Rice

Cook lentils and vegetables in a pressure cooker.

Add tamarind water, sambar powder, turmeric and boil it.

Add cooked rice and mix.

Season it and pour it on top.

Sambar Rice is ready!
