According to the release issued by the Ministry of Defense, on the night of 07 and 08 May 2025, Pakistan tried to include many military threats in North and Western India including Avantipura, Srinagar, Jammu, Pathankot, Amritsar, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Adampur, Bhatinda, Chandigarh, Nal, Falodi, Northi and Bhuj using drones and missiles. The range of HQ-9 is said to be between 125 and 200 kilometers. This system has the ability to track 100 air goals simultaneously and intercept many of them. Its radar system is based on modern AESA technology, which works on high frequency and is also able to identify the upcoming targets.
Pakistan included this system as an important organ in its multi -level defense network, especially near the border and to protect strategic military bases. In the Indian attack under Operation Sindoor, the weaknesses of this state -of -the -art system were revealed to the world.
