CBSE believes that if students start their day with positive thoughts, their confidence, concentration, and mental balance are better. The board's advice states, "Regularly repeating positive affirmations improves the mental state, self-image and balance of the students."
How will this change be implemented?
CBSE has urged schools to include 1-2 simple, age-appropriate affirmations every morning. These sentences will be related to self-control, respect and health. Each affirmation will be read in both English and Hindi so that every student can understand and adopt it.
Some examples suggested by CBSE:
I am always happy.
I am calm and stable in every situation.
My memory and concentration are excellent.
I eat healthy food; my body is perfect and disease-free.
I use gadgets only for studying.
I use gadgets only for studying.
I respect everyone. I respect nature.
Student participation will be important.
CBSE has encouraged schools to involve students in the process. They can get an opportunity to make affirmations or recite them in the prayer meeting. Schools can change the time and style as per their convenience and will be free to innovate.
