India’s New Delhi The Indian Armed Forces reacted “proportionately, adequately, and responsibly” to Pakistan’s provocative and escalating actions on Thursday night, which attacked Indian towns and civilian infrastructure in addition to some military objectives, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said on Friday.
Speaking at a joint news conference, Misri said that rather than taking responsibility for its strikes on civilian and religious targets, Pakistan is making ludicrous and absurd assertions.
“In addition to some military targets, Indian cities and civilian infrastructure were the focus of Pakistan’s aggressive and escalating operations yesterday night. According to Misri, the Indian Armed Forces reacted properly, appropriately, and proportionally.
He said that Pakistan is only making a last-ditch effort to deny its aggressive actions.
According to Misri, Pakistan faces a challenge from India’s unwavering unity.
“What I want to emphasise is that the Pakistani State apparatus’s formal and obviously absurd denial of these assaults that Pakistan carried out is just another illustration of their deceit and the new depths they are reaching in their pursuit of misinformation. Instead of taking responsibility for these assaults, Pakistan attempted to place the blame on Pakistan by making the absurd and ludicrous assertion that the Indian Air Force and Indian Armed Forces were responsible for attacking places like Amritsar,” he added.
“This is just Pakistan’s last-ditch effort to deny its aggressive actions. However, it is also true that typing aims to mislead and deceive the world. It won’t work. Pakistan specifically targeted the Gurdwara in Poonch, and as I said yesterday, several local Sikhs, including the Gurdwara’s Ragi, perished in the assault. Furthermore, only the Pakistani State is capable of conjuring up such a twisted dream as the idea that we would attack our own city. Maybe they do it because, as their history would demonstrate, they are experienced in doing it,” he said.
He also mentioned false information from Pakistan that India was launching a drone strike on the Nankana Sahib Gurdwara.
“Pakistan’s misinformation effort includes yet another flagrant untruth. As we observed in the Pahalgam assault, Pakistan is again attempting frantically to lend a communal colour to the issue with a goal to cause strife. Again, we are not surprised. India’s unshakeable unity in itself is a challenge to Pakistan,” he remarked.
