Bollywood actress Patralekhaa has acted in many highly regarded films. Most recently, she played Savitribai Phule in Pratik Gandhi’s Phule. She feels disappointed that, in spite of her prosperous career, she is often referred to as just the wife of actor Rajkummar Rao.

“I really hate it, just to be called Rajkummar Rao’s wife,” Patralekhaa said in an interview with Galatta India. I hate it, and I feel so little. Mera ek astitva hai, mera ek naam hai kyunki. (Because I have an identity and a name). The actress feels that she has her own personality and that people disregard it because she is married, even if she is happy about Rajkummar’s accomplishments.

According to Patralekhaa, people often contacted Rajkummar Rao before approaching her for a project. “People often approach me only to reach Raj,” she remarked. They send me screenplays so they can cast him, not because they want me. Then it’s obvious what the hook is: the movie is mine, and they want me to show it to Raj.”

Pratik Gandhi costarred with Patralekhaa in Phule. The film sought to showcase the remarkable accomplishments of two trailblazers who fought for the rights of women and the underprivileged in nineteenth-century India: Mahatma Jyotirao Phule and Savitribai Phule. He has become a symbol of social change in Indian history because of his attempts to educate everyone, especially women and the poor. Patralekhaa portrays Savitribai Phule, while Pratik Gandhi plays Jyotirao Phule. The Phule production team consists of Pranay Chokshi, Jagdish Patel, Ritesh Kudecha, Anuya Chauhan Kudecha, Suunil Jaiin, and Dr Raj Khaware.

In addition to Vijay Varma, Pankaj Tripathi, Naseeruddin Shah, Dia Mirza, and Arvind Swamy, Patralekhaa was most recently featured in the Netflix series IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack.
