UPSC CSE 2025 Important News: If you have applied for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services 2025 exam, then there is important news for you. For this, UPSC has issued an important notice for specially abled (PwBD) candidates appearing in the Civil Services Prelims Exam 2025. This information has been released on the official website of the commission upsc.gov.in.

For which candidates is this information?
This notification is for those PwBD and PwD candidates who have opted to take the help of a scribe during the examination. Whether the scribe is self-selected or provided by the commission. If a candidate wants to change his scribe, he can send this request to the commission through email by 4 pm on May 18, 2025. The address to send the email is [email protected].

What information has to be given in the email?
To change the scribe, the candidate has to share the following details.
Full name of the scribe

Educational qualification

Permanent address

Address for communication

Mobile number

Email ID

Relationship between the candidate and the scribe (if any)

A self-declaration

The commission has also provided a pro-forma for this, which candidates can download from the UPSC website.

Strict adherence to deadlines is required

UPSC has clarified that only those requests will be considered that are submitted within the stipulated deadline (May 18, 4 pm) and sent to the specified email address. Requests sent to any other email ID or received after the stipulated time will not be accepted.

Exam Date and Schedule

UPSC Civil Services Prelims Exam 2025 will be conducted on May 25, 2025. This exam will be held in two shifts.

Paper 1: General Studies
Paper 2: CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test)
Both papers will be objective-type and will serve as a screening for the Mains exam.

Expected UPSC Mains Date
