CBSE Result 2025: Avoid fake news, follow official website

In light of several false result notices in circulation, CBSE has advised students to wait for verified information. The board said, “Students are advised not to trust any information from unauthorised sources and refer only to the official CBSE website for result-related announcements.”

Students and parents are encouraged to remain calm and rely only on official platforms for updates.

Over 42 lakh students appeared for the CBSE board exams this year. Class 10 exams were held from February 15 to March 18, and Class 12 exams were conducted till April 4. Once the results are announced, students can check their marks on cbseresults.nic.in and results.cbse.nic.in using their roll number, admit card ID, school code, and date of birth.

CBSE Result 2025: No official result date announced yet

CBSE has not confirmed the exact date or time for the result declaration. However, based on previous years, the results are expected between May 9 and May 20. The board has said all official updates will be shared only through cbse.gov.in.

CBSE Result 2025: Minimum marks required to pass

To pass the board exams, students need to score at least 33% in both theory and practical papers. The board may also award grace marks to students who fall short of the minimum mark by one or two points.

CBSE Result 2025: New grading system from this year

CBSE has introduced a 'Relative Grading' system for the 2024–25 academic session. This method aims to reduce academic stress and unhealthy competition. In this system, a student’s grade is based on how they perform in comparison to their peers, rather than fixed marks brackets like earlier.

The grading is now subject-wise and depends on how many students pass that subject. For example, the same percentage score may lead to different grades based on overall performance in that subject across the country.
