Seamlessly blending the old with the new, Edinburgh is the perfect place to go for one looking to immerse themselves in a rich cultural heritage or a thriving arts scene.

This Spring, the city is more beautiful than ever, with its parks, gardens and green spaces bursting with flowers.

Heading into the Royal Botanic Garden, one can and oneself surrounded by beautiful blossoms of snowdrops, daffodils and crocuses.

Or, you can head to the Edinburgh International Children's Festival, which has an abundance of circus, dance, storytelling and theatre.

If looking for something more laid-back, you should definitely head down the coast and stop in at Marine Fest at the Scottish Seabird Centre in North Berwick.

The festival celebrates the wonders of Scotland's seas, and includes a Puffin Express boat trip.
