
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin spearheaded a massive rally in Chennai on Saturday, expressing solidarity with the Indian Armed Forces amid heightened tensions with Pakistan. The march began at the DGP Office and is set to go until the War Memorial near Island Grounds, covering a stretch of 2 to 3 kilometers along Chennai’s iconic Marina Beach Road.
Waving the National Flag, Stalin was joined by hundreds of citizens, including ex-servicemen, state ministers, government officials, students, and members of the public, all unified in support of the nation's defense forces.
The rally aimed to pay tribute to the bravery and unwavering commitment of the Indian Army. The Greater Chennai Corporation coordinated logistical support for the event, ensuring the safety and comfort of all participants.
Ahead of the rally being held in support of the Indian Army under the leadership of Chief Minister MK Stalin, key guidelines were issued for the public. A release from the government said, to ensure public convenience, medical camps have been arranged at 10 locations, 200 shaded tents have been set up, 71 drinking water tanks and 50 toilet facilities are in place, and 15 ambulances have been deployed for emergency response. Participants are also advised to carry their own drinking water.
