The mighty Titans are back! Following the massive success of Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire, Warner Bros has officially announced the next installment in the MonsterVerse Godzilla X Kong: Supernova. Production is now underway, and while the central villain remains under wraps, hints suggest that a powerful space monster may challenge Godzilla and Kong this time around.
The upcoming film, directed by I Am Mother filmmaker Grant Sputore, brings back fan-favorite Dan Stevens as Trapper Beasley. He’ll be joined by a fresh ensemble cast including Kaitlyn Dever, Jack O’Connell, Delroy Lindo, Matthew Modine, Alycia Debnam-Carey, and Sam Neill. Sputore replaces Adam Wingard, who directed the last two entries but exited the project due to scheduling conflicts.
A short teaser for Supernova has already stirred buzz. It features a red emergency alert emanating from Sedona, Arizona — a location known to franchise fans as the place where the spider-legged Titan Scylla was awakened in Godzilla: King of the Monsters. The teaser also includes a clever marketing stunt with a phone number, (240) MON-ARCH, linked to the Monarch organization. Calling the number plays an automated message thanking callers for reporting Titan sightings and reinforcing Monarch’s role in Titan response and relief.
While plot details are still tightly guarded, the film’s title and fiery color palette point toward a cosmic-level threat. With The New Empire earning the highest box office numbers in the franchise so far, expectations are sky-high.
Godzilla X Kong: Supernova is scheduled to hit theaters on March 26, promising another epic battle as the iconic Titans defend Earth—and possibly the universe—once again.
