Iran to Send Missile Launchers to Russia, Deepening Military Ties:

Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Iran is allegedly getting ready to provide Russia with short-range ballistic missile launchers. These are for the Fath-360 missiles Tehran sent last year according to two Western security sources and one regional associate.

If provided, these launchers would bolster Russia’s persistent assault in Ukraine while underscoring the increasingly cooperative alliance Iran and Russia share.

Fath-360: New Threat in the Ukraine Conflict

With the capability to reach targets within 75 miles, or 120 km, the Fath-360 could strike Ukrainian frontline positions alongside military and even border-adjacent civilian zones.

Experts believe the missiles could reach several critical Ukrainian targets, including frontline positions, military installations, and civilian zones near the border.

The U.S previously alleged that Iran delivered these missiles on nine sanctioned Russian-flagged vessels, launching them without the provided launchers.

As per the sources, the delivery of the launchers is now extremely close. Though they did not clarify why these were not shipped in the so-called “March shipment.”

Responses and Statements

The Russian Defense Ministry and Iran’s UN mission have yet to make any comments regarding the statement.

U.S Officials have kept quiet on the issue as well. The U.S. State Department has not made a statement, CIA officials also refused to provide not commentary.

Refuting accusations of providing weapons for the Ukraine invasion, both Russia and Iran have claimed no transfers occurred.

In spite of such denials, Ukraine and allied nations have continued to claim Iran provided Russia with weapons, including thousands of drones and artillery shells.

General Confirms Donation of Iranian Missiles

U.S. Army General Christopher Cavoli recently informed lawmakers that Iran has provided Russia with over 400 short-range ballistic missiles. This most likely includes some unnamed Fath-360s.

So far, no public intel has confirmed Russia’s use of any Iranian ballistic missiles, let alone the Fath-360s.

Could Peace Negotiations be Impacted

The potential arrival of the missile launchers may further complicate already tense diplomatic negotiations:

President Donald Trump is attempting to facilitate peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.

There are separate negotiations happening between the U.S. and Iran regarding nuclear issues, mediated by Oman.

The regional official stated the ongoing nuclear discussions are partially the reason why there was a delay with transferring the missile launcher.

Military Analysts Offer Their Opinions

Experts point out that Iran did have to modify European commercial trucks to outfit the launchers. This most likely caused delays as Russia has lost a significant (and still-ongoing) amount of vehicles to the Ukraine war.

With the launchers, Russian troops would be able to:

Carry out quicker strikes against high-value targets.

Restrict the use of more advanced missiles such as the Iskander for strategic targets.

Reduce the amount of prep time needed for missile launches.

“They’re accurate enough to be used by minimally trained personnel,” Defense expert Ralph Savelsberg explained. “They may not be very accurate or powerful, but they complicate Ukraine’s defenses.”
