The Women in Blue topped the group stage standings with three wins from four matches to book their place in the final. Hosts Sri Lanka registered two victories — one each against India and South Africa — to earn their spot in the summit clash. South Africa managed just one win and failed to qualify.

India began their campaign with a dominant nine-wicket victory over Sri Lanka in a rain-shortened 39-over match, followed by a 15-run win against South Africa. They then suffered a three-wicket loss to the hosts but bounced back strongly, defeating South Africa by 23 runs to close out the group stage on a high.
