Petrol-diesel rumors amidst Indo-Pak tension, oil companies said-“Don’t panic, stock is full”

The situation on the border has remained sensitive and in the last 24 hours, the retaliation from both sides has worsened the situation. In such a situation, due to rumors, people across the country have been engaged in the hoarding of ration and fuel, especially in the border areas of Punjab, long queues are being seen at petrol pumps.

Oil companies gave news of relief

Given the seriousness of the situation, two major oil companies of India – Indian Oil (IOCL) and Bharat Petroleum (BPCL) – appealed to the people not to pay attention to rumors. IOCL clarified on X (East Twitter), “Indian Oil has sufficient fuel stock and our supply lines are running smoothly. There is no need to make a panic shopping. Fuel and LPG is easily available at all our outlets. Help us to serve you better by staying calm and unnecessary crowds.”

BPCL also issued a similar statement stating that the supply has not been affected across the country and every needy is getting the facility of petrol-diesel and LPG.

Avoid shopping in panic

In some border areas, people are nervous due to rumors and getting fuel filled. Experts say that such antics only create unnecessary stress and chaos. There is no shortage of any kind in the country and the supply is completely under control.

There is a clear message from the government and oil companies – “Avoid fake news and trust official sources only.” If you live near the border, it is definitely to be cautious, but it is wrong to spread panic or react to rumors.
