Tensions Rise as India Calls Out Pakistan
New Delhi: Just hours after an agreement was reached between India and Pakistan to halt military actions, New Delhi has accused Islamabad of violating this understanding.
During a late-night press conference, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri urged Pakistan to take necessary actions to rectify these breaches and handle the situation with 'seriousness and responsibility.'
He stated that the armed forces have been instructed to respond decisively to any further violations along the International Border and the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir.
"In the past few hours, there have been multiple breaches of the agreement made earlier today between the Directors General of Military Operations of both nations," Misri noted.
"This constitutes a violation of the understanding reached earlier today," he added.
Misri emphasized that the armed forces are providing an adequate response to these infringements and are taking these violations very seriously.
He reiterated that the military is maintaining a vigilant stance on the situation, urging Pakistan to act responsibly in addressing these issues.
