After the suspension announcement, the teams began to disintegrate and the players began to catch the next available flight for their destination. According to ESPNcricinfo, most foreign players are expected to go out of India by the end of Saturday.
The franchisee remains optimistic about the return of foreign players in the event of the tournament resumed at the end of May. However, he did not guarantee that the tournament would move beyond the date of May 25, the day the IPL 2025 final was to be held at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
Many players will be busy in their bilateral commitments and the World Test Championship final between Australia and South Africa, which will be played at Lord’s from 11 June.
A total of 57 matches were completed in IPL 2025 and the 58th match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals at Dharamshala’s HPCA Stadium was canceled after 10.1 overs.
