New Delhi: N. Radhakrishnan, CEO of TVS Motors, one of the top two wheeler companies in the country in the automobile sector, has hoped for a better performance this year. He has said that income tax deduction, increase in spending on infrastructure and expectation of normal monsoon are expected to maintain the speed of current ear in the domestic to wheeler industry.

In total, registration of two wheelers increased by 8 percent to 1,88,77,812 units in FY 2024-25, compared to 1,75,27,115 units in 2023-24. Radhakrishnan has said in a conversation with the analysts that we hope that the overall growth in the local market will remain the same as last year. He said that the first quarter of the financial year may be medium in terms of sales, but the sales are expected to be strong in May and June, as there are many wedding days during both months.

Radhakrishnan said that in FY 2025-26, the country’s gross domestic product i.e. GDP’s growth rate is estimated to be around 6.5 percent. He said that it is mainly inspired by an increase in conjugation and improvement in Agri sector. Giving detailed information about positive factors, Radhakrishnan said that in the last 3 months, a decrease of 0.50 percent in policy repo rate has reduced the monthly installment for consumers.

He has said that it will be to buy two wheelers on a wide basis. Also, in the budget, the income tax deduction limit has been announced to increase from Rs 7 lakh to Rs 12 lakh under the new Income Tax Reset. Radhakrishnan said that the Indian economy will get strengthened by the government continuously by the government. He has said that we are expecting a normal monsoon, which will also improve rural perception and economy.

In the last financial year 2024-25, TVS Motor Company’s total two wheeler and three wheeler sales rose 13 percent to 47.44 lakh units, compared to 41.91 lakh units in 2023-24.
