Obnews Auto Desk: Losing driving license (DL) can cause trouble for anyone. But if you take some important steps on time, then this problem can be solved easily. By adopting the simple measures given below, you can get your duplicate DL again without any problem.
1. First file FIR
If your driving license is lost or stolen, first go to the nearest police station and register an FIR. Keep a copy of this FIR with you as it will work further in document verification.
2. Apply for duplicate DL
To get a duplicate driving license, you have to go to the government transport portal. Click on “Driving License Services” here and select the option “Apply for Duplicate DL”. After this, select your kingdom and fill the information sought.
3. Do the necessary documents
Aadhaar card, PAN card or passport like identity card and passport size photo will be required along with a copy of FIR. After uploading all the documents, submit the application fee, which can range from ₹ 200 to ₹ 500.
4. Go to your nearest RTO office
After online application, submit all documents and submit it to your Regional Transport Office (RTO). Your information will be verified from there.

5. Get duplicate driving license
After all the process is completed, your duplicate will be sent home via DL post or you can download it from the online portal.
