Uttarakhand CM greets people on Buddha Purnima

Dehradun: On this auspicious day of Buddha Purnima, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has hailed the whole state’s population. According to the Chief Minister, Mahatma Buddha‘s teachings on compassion, non-violence, and peace are a priceless gift for all of mankind.

“Truth and good acts were valued by Mahatma Buddha. He remarked, “He encouraged people to understand the truth and live by it.”

“Mahatma Buddha’s teachings encourage us to be conscious of moral principles, religious behavior, and our responsibilities in life. To promote the welfare of the world, Mahatma Buddha placed a strong focus on friendship and unity without prejudice. His teachings will always be applicable to all people,” he said.

President Droupadi Murmu, meanwhile, sent her warmest regards to the Indian populace and all Lord Buddha devotees throughout the globe on the eve of Buddha Purnima.

In her statement, the President said, “On the auspicious occasion of Buddha Purnima, I extend my heartfelt greetings and best wishes to all fellow citizens and the followers of Lord Buddha all over the world.”

“The fundamental tenet for the well-being of humanity is the timeless teaching of non-violence, love, and kindness given by Bhagwan Buddha, the personification of compassion. His principles bolster our belief in the timeless principles of social justice, equality, and peace. The President said, “His teachings encourage us to lead decent lives.

“Let us adopt the ideals of Bhagwan Buddha in our lives and contribute to building a peaceful, harmonious and developed Bharat,” said the president.

The birth, enlightenment, and Mahaparinirvana (death) of Gautama Buddha are commemorated on Buddha Purnima, also called Vesak.
