New Delhi: Haram was always a matter of discussion during the Mughal era. The word harem is derived from Arabic language which means holy or forbidden. Haram started during the period of Babur, Babur laid the foundation of the Mughal Empire in India. Women were brought there in many ways to enhance the beauty of Haram. For example, if the Mughal emperor fell in love with a woman, he was made part of the harem. Some women were brought captive from other countries and some were bought from the market. At the same time, some women used to be such that the emperor used to get gifts from other kings. However, which woman would reach the bed of the emperor depending on many things. For this, it was mandatory for the woman to be beautiful and compulsory in dance.

How was Haram’s life

The woman who reached the harem once. His relationship with the outside world was over. There was a ban on going out of the woman. Apart from this, he could not have a relationship with any outside person. Women had to strictly follow these rules. The emperor had a few select knees who used to spend time only with him.
