The Raj Palace of Jaipur was earlier Chomu Haveli, which was built in 1727 for Thakur Raj Singh. In 1996, Princess Jayendra Kumari converted it into a hotel. Its 50 rooms are made in the Mughal-Rajputana design, where there are old-fashioned chandeliers, carpets, and royal furniture. The presidential suite has four floors, private museums, and gold decorations, which costs up to ₹ 14 lakhs.
The rest of the rooms start with heritage and premiere room ₹ 60,000, Historical Suite ₹ 77,000, Prestige Suite ₹ 1 Lakh+, and Palace Suite ₹ 5 Lakh+. The hotel offers the royal dining, spa, and Nahargarh Fort. The hospitality and decor here gives you the feel of King-Maharaja. Amitabh Bachchan, Allen Page, and many international celebrities have stayed here. The fare depends on weather and booking, but ₹ 14 lakh of Presidential suite makes it the most expensive in the country.
Rambagh Palace also in the top list after Raj Palace
Rambagh Palace, Jaipur is also in the top list after Raj Palace. This hotel, built in 1835, runs the Taj Group, and its happiness residence is ₹ 7.5–10 lakhs per night. Spread over 47 acres, this hotel is famous for the royal garden and dining hall. The Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur is in the middle of the Pichola lake, and its Shambhu light suite goes to ₹ 6-10 lakhs. This hotel, built in 1743, is famous for European design and lake views.
Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur Chittar is on the hill, and its Queen Suite is ₹ 4-8.8 lakhs. The hotel, built in 1928–1943, is the Mix of Shahi Niwas, Museum, and Luxury Hotel. Oberoi Amarvilas, along with Agra Taj Mahal, charges a fare of ₹ 25,000-1.5 lakh. The Taj Falaknuma Palace is near the Hyderabad Charminar, and its fare is ₹ 24,000-4 lakhs. These hotels give fun of royal style and modern features, but the fare of Raj Palace leaves them behind.
