The BCCI has revised the schedule for the remaining games, extending the season by eight days in light of the IPL 2025’s one-week suspension. Because of the growing tensions between India and Pakistan, the IPL was postponed for a week last Friday.

The IPL will begin this Saturday after the two nations announced a truce, and the final will now take place on June 3 rather than May 25 as planned.

Many of Australia’s players are under contract with different IPL teams, and they will play South Africa in the ICC World Test Championship final starting on June 11 in London.

Although they have IPL commitments, Pat Cummins, Travis Head (both Punjab Kings), Josh Inglis (Punjab Kings), Josh Hazlewood (Royal Challengers Bengaluru), and Mitchell Starc (Delhi Capitals) are all members of Australia’s WTC final roster. Will that affect how the squad prepares for the big match?

The high-performing general manager of Cricket Australia Not in Ben Oliver’s opinion.

Oliver said on Tuesday, “We don’t anticipate any significant impact on the World Test Championship (final) preparation.”

“It goes without saying that players are training in Australia and all around the globe before coming together in the UK. But over the next several days, we’ll go through it one-on-one with the guys,” he said.

“It will be a slightly different preparation, but they’re all working pretty hard behind the scenes to make sure they start to ramp up their loads a little bit.”
