According to experts, a preliminary examination will be conducted on the new Vande Bharat rake that has arrived in Gorakhpur. Only once the equipment has been tested and found satisfactory can the new rake be used. The train’s departure date has not yet been determined, however. However, the Gorakhpur-Prayagraj route would be used to test the new Vande Bharat rake first.

The eight-coach rake that travels the Gorakhpur-Prayagraj route will be used on the Gorakhpur-Patna route once it is empty. Additionally, plans to operate the Vande Bharat train on the Gorakhpur-Patna line have accelerated. The Gorakhpur-Bettiah-Narkatiaganj-Muzaffarpur-Patna railway line will be used to operate this service.

At 4 a.m., this train will leave Gorakhpur and arrive back at 9:30 p.m. While touring Gorakhpur and Bettiah, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said that a new Vande Bharat train will travel between Gorakhpur and Patna.

Eight to sixteen coaches make up the completely air-conditioned, domestically built, semi-high-speed train. In addition to the air-conditioned chair car, the Vande Bharat sleeper is also being produced. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the first Vande Bharat from Gorakhpur Junction on July 7, 2023, with eight carriages.

This railroad formerly traveled via Ayodhya to Lucknow. Its route was extended to Prayagraj because to the growing demand for passengers. Only Vande Bharat trains will operate on almost all of Northeast Railway’s main lines in the next days, including the Gorakhpur headquarters.

There is a plan to operate 17 trains in total, comprising seven Vande Bharat and two Amrit Bharat, including Prayagraj via Varanasi, in addition to the sleeper Vande Bharat between Gorakhpur and Delhi and Agra. The pink sleeper Vande Bharat is scheduled to run between Delhi and Gorakhpur.

The RPF Training Center Will Be Adjacent to the Vande Bharat Depot
The Railway Protection Force (RPF) Training Center in Gorakhpur will be next to Vande Bharat’s depot. The Railway Board has received the proposal from the railway administration. The depot’s construction will start once the board gives its permission. In addition, the mechanical plant will have a separate shed constructed.

Additionally, the Multidisciplinary Systems Training Centre (MSTC) in Gorakhpur will host a Vande Bharat training center. In addition to cleaning and washing Vande Bharat, the railway personnel will have access to periodic repair (POH) training in Gorakhpur.
