
Obnews Tech Desk: Airtel’s highly popular ₹ 199 prepaid recharge plan will no longer be available on select platforms. This plan was a favorite among users who wanted to get unlimited calling and basic data facilities at a low price. But now Airtel has disconnected this plan on major UPI apps like PhonePe and Paytm, which has shocked millions of customers.
What was ₹ 199 Airtel Plan?
In this plan, customers were given the facility of validity of 28 days, 2GB data and unlimited calling. This was a perfect option for budget users. However, now this recharge can only be done from the Airtel Thanks app and the official website of Airtel.
Users will now have to spend 20 rupees more
Those who like to recharge from PhonePe or Paytm will now have to take a plan of ₹ 219, in which the same basic facilities will be available with a little more data. The ₹ 199 plan was popular because it used to provide calling facility to customers using low data at a cheaper rate.

- The ₹ 199 plan is no longer available on UPI apps.
- This plan is still present on the Airtel Thanks app and website.
- While recharging from UPI apps, users will be redirected on a plan of ₹ 219.
