Had retired yesterday

Earlier, Kohli on Monday announced his retirement from Test cricket by posting an emotional post on Instagram post. He said that Test cricket has tested me in many ways, I have given me such lessons of life and life which I can never forget.

Weak performance in test

It is known that Kohli’s performance in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy held in Australia in December-January was very weak. In this series, he scored at an average of 23.75. He was dismissed on the ball going out of the off stump 7 times out of total 8 times. In 9 innings, Kohli was able to score only 190 runs, including a century.

BCCI had information

According to media reports, Virat Kohli informed the BCCI about his decision on 10 May. The board asked him to think again. After this, on May 11, a representative of BCCI also talked to him personally.
