Deepika Padukone is one of the highest-paid actresses charging between Rs 13 crore and Rs 15 crore per film surpassing leading actresses Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor Khan. Padukone who has been giving hits within two years with Pathaan (Rs 1055 crore) Jawan (Rs 762 crore) Fighter (Rs 344 crore) and Kalki 2898 (Rs 1200 crore) she not only performed well on the box office but also got the tag of being delivering back-to-back hits. As per the latest news Deepika Padukone has signed a movie as a leading lady opposite actor Prabhas. Her substantial pay cheque will be around Rs 20 crore the highest pay cheque of her career. The movies name is Spirit directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. If Deepika closes the deal for Rs 20 crore she will surpass several leading male actors including her husband Ranveer Singh. Spirit is expected to go on floors by September-October 2025. A source told Pinkvilla “With Vanga you can expect a genre-breaking film and he spent over 6 months to develop the story into a screenplay. The movie is scheduled to release in 2027. The director is currently scouting for actors from the US and South Korea to star in the film. Sandeep Reddy Vanga is one of Indias most controversial filmmakers. His directorial releases have been Arjun Reddy (2017) its Hindi remake Kabir Singh (2019) and Animal (2023).
