
When the Indian Premier League returns this week, a number of players will have to decide whether to return, and Cricket Australia is working with the Indian board and the government on security plans, the governing body said on Tuesday.
Before a truce was agreed upon over the weekend, the Twenty20 competition was halted last Friday due to the deadliest violence between India and Pakistan in over thirty years.
The BCCI said on Monday that the final game will now take place on June 3 and the remaining 17 games will resume on May 17.

“For those players who decide to participate in the remaining IPL games, team management will discuss the preparation implications for the WTC final.
“We are keeping in touch with the BCCI and the Australian government regarding safety and security arrangements.”
Pakistan’s cricket authority also suspended its premier T20 competition due to the unrest, but chairman Mohsin Naqvi said on social media Tuesday that the Pakistan Super League would resume on Saturday and that the final will now take place on May 25, one week later than originally planned.
