
Abu Dhabi: Hussein Al-Sheikh, Vice President of the State of Palestine and Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, was welcomed by Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Sheikh Abdullah began the meeting by wishing Hussein Al-Sheikh well in his official responsibilities.
The gathering, which took place in Abu Dhabi today, covered the region’s general current events and their many ramifications, especially the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip. It also emphasized the significance of stepping up international efforts to meet the immediate humanitarian needs of the civilian population in the strip.
The top diplomat for the United Arab Emirates reaffirmed the country’s historic and longstanding brotherly position toward the Palestinian people, as well as its steadfast dedication to assisting them in achieving their justifiable goals of prosperity, peace, stability, and a dignified existence.
In order to confront the growing humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza and provide a long-lasting humanitarian response that satisfies the needs of people living in appalling circumstances, Sheikh Abdullah emphasized the need for coordinated international actions at this time. He emphasized that the UAE would do all in its power to assist the Palestinian brethren and provide the required humanitarian aid.
Sheikh Abdullah also emphasized the significance of putting an end to extremism, tension, and the region’s growing violence while moving toward a serious political future in order to resurrect talks and reach a comprehensive peace based on the “two-state solution,” as well as to support stability and guarantee long-term security in the area.
State Minister Khalifa Shaheen Almarar and Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs Lana Zaki Nusseibeh attended the meeting.
