Now, it seems that Deepika is all set to get back to work with a bang. The Bollywood actor has reportedly been cast in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit opposite Prabhas. What’s more, this project could land her the biggest paycheck of her career so far.
According to reports, Deepika could be paid more than what many of her male co-stars, including husband Ranveer Singh, have received for their recent projects.
As per an India Today report, the actress will be paid a whopping amount for Spirit. The report stated that while the news had not been officially confirmed, insiders claim that Deepika would receive Rs 20 crore for her role. This could make it one of the biggest paychecks for a female lead in Indian cinema.
According to reports, Deepika was initially approached for the role last year. She had declined the offer since the dates were not lining up with her pregnancy. After the schedule for Spirit was delayed, Pinkvilla reported that Vanga had approached Deepika with a new timeline and the Bajirao Mastani star had accepted the offer.
“It’s the most well-written female part in the world of Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Deepika was surprised with the nuances in not just the script, but also her character. She has loved the part, and is excited to team up with Sandeep Reddy Vanga for the first time,” a source told the media outlet.
