
Darsh Shetty, playing with the white pieces, put up a strong performance to defeat young challenger Chris Isaiah on the second board in Round 5 of the All India Chess Masters FIDE Rating Championship, currently underway at the Mumbai Chess Centre, Russian House, Pedder Road.
On the top board, Yash Kapadi continued his impressive run by overcoming Shravana Agrawal to secure a full point. Meanwhile, Shreyas Kaushik outplayed Deepak Soni in a tactical encounter, and Woman Candidate Master (WCM) Kriti Patel registered a convincing win against Sidharth Kumar on the fourth board. All the top four players with five points each won their respective matches and now tally five points each to be the joint leader.
