
was visibly moved as she bid a formal "farewell" to one of her cherished roles after a seven-year stint. The actress's departure from her role as Erin Croft in the popular comedy Brassic was no surprise as earlier this year, it was confirmed that the of the series.
With a star-studded cast led by Joseph 'Joe' Gilgun and Michelle, the series follows the lives of a group of financially struggling working-class friends living in the fictional village of Hawley. However, the creators of the much-loved show confirmed in January that they wanted to "stop while we are still riding high" and that the most recently filmed series would be the last. Michelle took to with an emotional tribute to her character, and thanked her co-stars and fans for their support.

Alongside a carousel of behind-the-scenes photos from the set, the actress penned: "Goodbye Erin, so finally the Brassic journey has come to an end (feels so strange saying that) and what an unbelievable 7 years it's been.
"I feel so privileged to have been a small part of such a mighty show. From the moment I read the 1st script I knew this job was going to be special & it definitely was."
The ex-Corrie star continued: "Thank you to everyone who worked on the show over the years for the laughs, friendship and more importantly the memories... What a magical 7 years we had."
Her departure has sparked an outpouring of emotion from fans, one commenting, "You've been incredible!! So so sad, but what amazing memories."
Another shared their disbelief: "I still can't believe this will be the last season ever. Brassic is Brilliant."
As a third penned: "You've been incredible as always!! Will miss Erin and the rest of the gang," while the show's fan account expressed their gratitude: "Thank you for giving us Erin Croft she is so special and has been incredible to watch. Erin Croft forever."
A spokesperson for Sky addressed the show's end and stated: "Since Brassic arrived on our screens in 2019, it has become Sky's most successful comedy ever. Fans very quickly became attached to this dynamic group of friends, as they found unconventional ways to win at life in northern suburbia.
The team behind the hit series expressed gratitude with a statement: "We would like to thank Joe Gilgun, Danny Brocklehurst and the whole cast and crew - past and present - for bringing us all a truly iconic series, which we've loved for its special mix of hilarity and heart."
