On May 11, Cheung posted the video on her Weibo and Xiaohongshu accounts, where she expressed how quickly time has passed since becoming a mother, according to The Standard.
“I’m grateful for every moment,” she shared in the video.
Cheung became a mother in 2007 with the birth of her eldest son Lucas Tse, whom she shares with Hong Kong actor Nicholas Tse. She later welcomed her second son Quintus Tse in 2010, and her third son Marcus Cheung in 2018. Marcus’s father’s identity remains private.
The actress acknowledged the challenges that came with parenthood, particularly the emotional difficulty of watching her children grow up. She explained how parenting requires adjusting her perspective to align with that of her children. Despite these challenges, Cheung emphasized that the journey of parenting has been rewarding, filled with shared learning and growth.
The video also provided a rare glimpse of her third son Marcus, featuring a scene where Cheung holds him in her arms, though his face is obscured for privacy. Other moments showcased interactions between Cheung and her older sons Lucas and Quintus.
The post garnered positive responses from fans, many of whom praised Cheung for her genuine devotion to motherhood. One Xiaohongshu user commented: “Her greatest strength is that she enjoys being a mother with no regard for others.”
“It was so touching,” another added.
Cheung, 45, first gained prominence in 1998 after starring in a television commercial for lemon tea, which caught the attention of Hong Kong filmmaker Stephen Chow. Her film debut came in 1999 with Chow’s “King of Comedy,” where she played a call girl. The film was a huge success, launching Cheung into stardom.
After her divorce from Tse in 2011, Cheung was awarded custody of Lucas and Quintus.
