The Federation of Western India Cine Employees i.e. FWICE appealed to the Indian filmmaker to reconsider Turkey before choosing a shooting location. The reason for this is to support Pakistan continuously by Türkiye, especially in cases which are to India’s national security and interests.

FWICE appeals for solidarity to the film world

The FWICE represents 36 different sections of the film industry such as workers, technicians and artists. FWICE released a press release saying, “We all appeal to film production houses, directors, actors and crew members to show solidarity with the country and do not shoot in Turkey until they change their policy.”

FWICE maintains the principle “Nation the first”

FWICE said that when Turkey supported Pakistan in terms of terrorist attacks on India, he again repeated his principle “Nation”. He believes that investing in any country that stands against India is wrong. FWICE reported that Turkey has taken a stand against India’s interests not only diplomatically but also on international forums, which is a matter of concern for the Indian film industry. The organization also said that the film industry is deeply involved in Indian culture and values, so no step should be taken that hurts the dignity or security of the country.

Meanwhile, FWICE General Secretary Ashok Dubey has demanded that the artists of Pakistan work completely from working in India. This statement came after a major terrorist attack on 22 April 2025 in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. After this attack, tension in India-Pakistan relations has increased further.
