Nat Phillips and Molly Moorish-Gallagher are set to become parents, with the couple announcing their pregnancy on Instagram to a flurry of well-wishes from fans.

The Liverpool FC defender, currently on loan at Derby County, went public with his relationship with Liam Gallagher's daughter last year after Molly posted an adorable photo of them together on Instagram.

Molly took to social media recently to share the exciting news of her pregnancy. She uploaded a series of images, including one where she cradles her baby bump next to Nat in front of a picturesque fountain, and another featuring a mirror selfie showcasing her growing belly.

The post also featured a cute babygrow emblazoned with the words 'Cool mums have cool kids' and a snap of Molly holding a 'Mum' mug.

She revealed her pregnancy with a humorous nod to fitness culture in the caption: "Bulking season."

Phillips expressed his excitement in the comments, writing: "Can't wait, love you both loads."

While Molly's mother Lisa shared her anticipation of becoming a grandmother with a grandma emoji.

Fans were quick to express their joy in the comments section, with one saying: "Congratulations - the best news", another chiming in with: "Ahhhh beautiful. Congratulations."

A third fan exclaimed: "OMG MOLLLYYY! ! Best news ever! ! What a lucky baby to have you as its mama! ! Congratulations darling!".

The news also left some fans stunned that Liam Gallagher is set to become a grandfather. "Liam is officially grandpa. Congratulations Molly! !" another wrote, while one fan chimed in with "Grandpa Gallagher will be so happy."

Molly is the daughter of the Oasis frontman and his ex-partner Lisa Moorish, whom Liam had a relationship with despite being married to Patsy Kensit at the time.

In a surprising twist, it appears even Nat's connection to rival football team Liverpool hasn't hindered his bond with his Manchester City-supporting 'father-in-law'.

Phillips joined Liverpool as a teenager in 2018 but apart from a successful stint during the 2020/21 season, where the Reds achieved a third-place finish, he has found it challenging to break into the team and has been loaned out to several clubs.
