
BSSC Laboratory Assistant Recruitment 2025: The application process for recruitment to 143 posts of Lab Assistant by Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) will end on 15 May 2025. If you have not applied yet, then you can do so now by visiting the official website.
This recruitment is especially important for those candidates who have passed the 12th (Intermediate) examination in the Science stream.
Under the Lab Assistant Recruitment 2025 released by the Commission, a total of 143 posts will be appointed, out of which 48 posts are reserved for women under horizontal reservation. Talking about category wise vacancies, 56 posts are reserved for unreserved category, 22 Scheduled Caste (SC), 01 Scheduled Tribe (ST), 27 Other Backward Classes (OBC), 18 Backward Classes (BC), 05 Backward Classes Women, and 14 posts are reserved for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS). This reservation system will be implemented as per the rules of the state government.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for this recruitment must have passed Intermediate (12th) from a recognized board or university, and this exam must be passed in the Science stream. Only those candidates will be considered eligible for this post who fulfill this condition of educational qualification condition.
Talking about the age limit, the minimum age has been fixed at 18 years. The maximum age varies according to the category: 37 years for unreserved (male), 40 years for unreserved (female), and backward/extremely backward classes (male and female), while the maximum age limit for SC/ST (male and female) is 42 years. Age will be calculated based on 1st August 2024.
