Ada (readymade rice lache) – 1 cup
Grated jaggery – 1 cup
Cold Coconut Milk – 1 Cup
Thin coconut milk – 1 cup
Ghee-2-3 tablespoons
Cashew-10-12
Small pieces of coconut – 2 tablespoons
Cardamom Powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Dry ginger powder – 1/4 teaspoon

How to make Sai Pallavi Favourite Kerala Food Ada Pradhaman at home
  • If you are taking readymade, soak it in hot water for 15-20 minutes. Then wash it and boil it in clean water until it becomes soft. After this, filter the water and keep the Ada separate.
  • Melt the jaggery by adding some water to a pan. When the jaggery melts completely, filter it with a sieve so that there is no dirt.
  • Add boiled act and jaggery syrup to a large pan. Cook this mixture on low flame for 5-10 minutes so that jaggery tastes well.
  • Now add thin coconut milk to it and cook for 5 more minutes. Then in the end add thick coconut milk and heat it on low flame for 1-2 minutes but do not cook too much or else the milk may burst. So cook it only on medium flame.
  • Heat ghee in a small pan. Add cashews and coconut pieces to it and fry till it becomes golden. Then put it in kheer. Finally add cardamom powder and dry ginger powder and mix well.
  • You can also serve it with puri or roti. If you want, you can only eat it like this, but it looks good in hot food.
