High blood pressure: Today’s high speed in life until a disease does not knock loudly, we often ignore it. But what if the disease is silently hollowing out our body from within? High blood pressure i.e. hypertension is also one such silent killer disease, which damages the essential organs like our heart, mind and kidney without making noise.

One in every four people in India is suffering from high blood pressure, and the shocking thing is that half people do not even know about it. The biggest deception of high BP is that its symptoms come up very late, as long as the body has suffered a lot of damage.

Why is hypertension dangerous?

Hypertension means that blood pressure in our blood vessels is higher than normal. The longer this pressure will remain and longer, the more stress will be on our heart and other important organs of the body. This disease does not appear, but gradually it can cause serious diseases.

People often believe that everything is fine until it is dizzy, headache or tiredness, then everything is fine. But this thinking proves to be the most dangerous. Most people know about high BP only when they have to face a situation like stroke, heart attack or kidney failure.

Why do these warnings leave?

While regular health checkup trend has increased in urban areas, there is still no cheap and easy BP testing facility in rural and semi-urban areas. Even among the youth, it is ignored as a disease of the elderly, while people under 40 years of age are also increasing high BP cases, due to which there are reasons like stress, poor catering, passive lifestyle and lack of sleep.

These signs should not be ignored

The hypertension may have silently affected, but sometimes it leaves some signs:

  1. Darshan

  2. Hassle

  3. Nose bleeding

  4. Causes of excessive fatigue or confusion

  5. Heartbeat

  6. Breathing only after doing light work

  7. Tinnitus

If these symptoms are feeling again and again, whether you are young or feeling healthy, get BP checked immediately.

What is its treatment?

Hypertension is not incurable. It can be controlled with the right lifestyle and timely:

  • Get BP check regularly after the age of 30

  • Reduce the amount of salt in food

  • Walk at least 30 minutes daily

  • Get sleep, reduce stress

  • Smoking and distance away from alcohol

  • Take the doctor on time
