Vijayapura: In a major crackdown, Lokayukta police on Thursday (May 15) raided properties belonging to Renuka Satarle, former District Manager of the Ambedkar Development Corporation, and uncovered disproportionate assets worth over Rs 2 crore.
Acting on information that Satarle had amassed wealth beyond her known sources of income, a team led by Lokayukta SP T. Mallesh conducted simultaneous raids on her residence in Chalukya Nagar, Vijayapura, and another house in Solapur, Maharashtra.
During the operation, officials recovered ₹10 lakh in cash, gold and silver ornaments, vehicles, and several documents related to properties and other valuable assets.
Preliminary estimates suggest that the value of the unaccounted assets exceeds ₹2 crore, according to Lokayukta officials.
The raid was carried out under the supervision of DySP Suresh Reddy M.S., along with Inspectors Anand V. Takkannavar and Anand Doni, and other Lokayukta staff.
