Dugvijay Singh Responds to Controversial Comments

Congress MP Digvijay Singh has strongly condemned the remarks made by Madhya Pradesh Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah regarding Colonel Sofia Qureshi. Singh expressed his disapproval of the language used against such a respected officer of the Indian Army. He welcomed the High Court's intervention and noted that an FIR has been filed against Shah. However, he questioned the actions being taken by the BJP, stating that this issue reflects a broader mindset within the party, which he believes is influenced by a 'Sanghi' mentality.

Call for Accountability from BJP Leadership

Singh challenged Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP President JP Nadda, asking if they support Shah's comments. He insisted that if they do, they should defend him; otherwise, they must take action against him. Despite the High Court's involvement leading to an FIR against Shah, Singh pointed out that the ruling party has yet to take any steps, indicating an effort to protect the minister. He demanded clarity from Modi and Nadda on whether they endorse Shah's controversial statements about Colonel Qureshi.

Praise for Armed Forces and Questions on Ceasefire

Singh also commended the Indian Armed Forces for their response to the Pulwama terrorist attack, stating, "I congratulate the Indian Army and intelligence agencies for targeting the right objectives." However, he raised concerns about the whereabouts of the four terrorists involved in the attack. Additionally, he questioned U.S. President Donald Trump's claims regarding the ceasefire between India and Pakistan, emphasizing that India has never allowed external forces to mediate during conflicts with Pakistan.
