“Also, I shall be visiting Smritivan – a memorial and museum envisioned by PM Shri @narendramodi as a tribute to those who lost their lives in the 2001 earthquake,” he said.
This occurred one day after he wrapped up his tour of the Badami Bagh Cantt in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, when he engaged with Indian Army personnel.
During his visit to Srinagar, Defense Minister Singh emphasized India’s strong anti-terrorist position, which is shown by its unwillingness to back down from Pakistan’s recklessly made nuclear threats.
“Operation Sindoor has sent a loud and clear message to the terrorist organizations hiding in Pakistan and their masters that they are not safe anywhere,” he stated in his first meeting with soldiers after Operation Sindoor at Badami Bagh Cantt.
“Our forces have shown the world that their aim is precise and pinpoint, and the task of counting is left to the enemies,” he said.
“I ask the world: Are nuclear weapons safe in the hands of a country that is so reckless and out of control?” The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) should oversee Pakistan’s nuclear weapons,” he said.
Singh also thanked the valiant troops for sending a strong message to the enemy by demolishing the Pakistani posts and bunkers on the other side of the border. “I come here today with a message from the people of India: ‘We are proud of our Forces’,” he said.
Singh reiterated that the foundation of the agreement made between the two nations is that no unjustified action should be taken from across the border. He restated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s beliefs that discussions and terrorism cannot coexist and that they should only be about PoJK and terrorism.
The Defense Minister also honored the troops who gave their lives during Operation Sindoor in defense of the nation and the innocent citizens who perished in a terror assault in Pahalgam. He wished the wounded servicemen a quick recovery and praised their bravery.
