In an exciting new development the iconic Ram-Lakhan duo Jackie Shroff and Anil Kapoor will be reuniting in SRKs upcoming actioner. Helmed by Sidharth Anand King is already making waves with its terrific cast. Now this exciting news has arrived just days before the shooting that will commence from May 20. According to a report by Pinkvilla Anil Kapoor has been on board to play Shah Rukh Khans mentor in the film. While SRK portrays the role of a trained assassin Anil Kapoor will be guiding him throughout his risky operation. There were several actors in contention but Anil Kapoor was unanimously chosen for the part. His on-screen charisma and experience bring just the right weight to the role a source closed to the media portal revealed. While the details of Jackie Shroffs role in King is still under wraps. Siddharth Anand narrated the basic world of King to Jackie Shroff along with his character arc and the actor took no time to come on board the film. Jackie is all excited to embark on this action-packed journey with Shah Rukh Khan and the team. Jackie feels that Shah Rukh Khan is the most accomplished and large-hearted producers of Indian Cinema and is looking forward to be on the sets on King. the source further added. On a concluding note the source shared King has one of the largest ensemble for a feature film in the modern times as every character has been cast to perfection with actors who fit the bill to the T. Apart from this ensemble King will also feature some more actors to play relatively small but important roles in the film. King will be an action-thriller ride not just for Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone but also for Abhishek Bachchan Suhana Khan Arshad Warsi and Abhay Verma. According to reports the makers have roped in International action directors to shot epic stunt sequences. The film is expected to release somewhere between October and December 2026 and will have a shooting schedule of over 100 days in multiple locations.
