Over 50 Palestinians were killed in a second straight night of intense bombardment as several aircraft struck the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis overnight.
Many corpses, some in fragments and others in body bags containing the remains of many persons, were transported to the city’s Nasser Hospital morgue. 54 fatalities were verified by the hospital’s mortuary.
A journalist for the Qatari television network Al Araby TV was among the dead, the network said on social media, adding that Hasan Samour and eleven other family members had perished in one of the attacks in Khan Younis.
Regarding the strikes, the Israeli military did not immediately respond.
Following airstrikes on northern and southern Gaza on Wednesday that killed at least 70 people, including over two dozen children, it was the second night of intense bombardment.
