During a press conference on Friday, Max Eberl was asked about Bayern Munich target Florian Wirtz’s recent visit to England.
Following reports of a verbal agreement with Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz and his family reportedly traveled to England earlier this week, with both Manchester City and Liverpool said to be interested.
When asked about the trip on Friday, Bayern’s board member for sport, Max Eberl, appeared unfazed by the latest developments.
“We know the facts,” he said, but didn’t elaborate.
“If Florian Wirtz made this trip with his family, they had their reasons. It’s not our place to comment on that.”
With several top European clubs circling, a bidding war could soon emerge. Reports suggest Leverkusen are hoping to fetch as much as €150 million for their prized asset.
