Desi company Lava in the Indian mobile market has once again prepared to strengthen its hold. With the intention of challenging the Chinese smartphone brands, Lava has confirmed that it is going to launch its new 5G smartphone Lava Shark 5G on 23 May 2025. In March 2025, the company launched its 4G variant and now its upgraded 5G version is set to arrive.
Confirmed features of Lava Shark 5G
Lava Shark 5G will get IP54 dust and water resistance. Its rear panel will have a 13MP primary camera sensor. The company claims that its Antutu score will be more than 4,00,000, which makes it powerful in this segment.
Possible specification and design
According to Leaks, this phone will be introduced in blue and gold color options and will be equipped with dual rear camera setup. According to the Geekbench listing, it will have UNISOC T765 processor, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The phone is likely to be launched on Android 15, which will accompany the latest software support.
Price and match
The company has indicated that the price of Lava Shark 5G will be less than ₹ 10,000. If this happens, this phone can give a direct competition to Chinese smartphones like Poco M7 5G, Redmi 14C 5G, Infinix Hot 50 5G and Realme C63 5G.

Lava Shark 4G is priced at ₹ 6,999 and has a 6.7 inch display, 120Hz refresh rate, 50MP primary camera, 8MP selfie camera, UNISOC T606 processor and 5000mAh battery which supports 18W fast charging.
