The Manikaran police station received information yesterday that Sahil (28), a resident of Kandayali village, who had gone on the Kheerganga-Mantalai trek, along with his friends, had gone missing from near Tunda Bhuj on May 13.
According to reports, Sahil and his two friends had embarked on the trek from Manikaran on May 11. After Sahil went missing his friends started a frantic search. Failing to trace him, one of his friends rushed back to Manikaran and alerted the police.
Kullu SP Karthikeyan Gokulachandran said search and rescue operations were underway, but no concrete leads had been found yet. Authorities remain hopeful that Sahil will be found safe even as efforts to locate him continue.
