The Moto3 World Championship held a test day in Le Mans right after the French GP, with Valentin Perrone being the fastest. The afternoon session was marked by rain.
In the morning, all 18 riders took to the track, with the rookie Perrone (Red Bull KTM Tech3) setting the best lap time (1m40.375s). He beat the championship leader José Antonio Rueda (Red Bull KTM Ajo) by 0.167s.
The other Ajo rider, Álvaro Carpe, finished third, with Ángel Piqueras (Frinsa-MT Helmets-MSi/KTM) in fourth and Nicola Carraro (Rivacold Snipers Team) in fifth as the best Honda.
With rain hitting Le Mans during the afternoon session, most of the riders opted not to go out on track. The fastest man in those conditions was Scott Ogden (CIP Green Power/KTM), beating Carraro by 0.501s, while Noah Dettwiller (CIP Green Power/KTM) was third 1.999s behind the leader.
